Conflict Resolution Saskatchewan Inc is excited to offer 3 virtual webinars.
April 29, 2026: Katharine Carter – 1:00 – 4:30 PM
“Attachment Styles in Conflict Resolution: Listening to Understand”
Understanding how attachment theory shapes behavior and communication is essential in conflict resolution. This interactive workshop explores the intersection of attachment styles and mediation, equipping professionals with tools to recognize emotional triggers, improve communication, and guide clients toward more equitable outcomes. Drawing from the work of Dr. Sue Johnson (Emotionally Focused Therapy) and John Bowlby (Attachment Theory), presenters Katharine Carter and Cassandra Davis will provide actionable strategies to identify and shift unhealthy relational dynamics in conflict situations. Through real-life case examples, guided self-reflection, experiential exercises, and role-play, participants will learn to integrate attachment-informed techniques into their mediation or collaborative law practices. This session is designed for mediators, lawyers, and mental health professionals seeking to support clients in emotionally charged disputes, especially in family law.

June 18, 2026: Jae Morgans – 1:00 – 4:30 PM
“Introduction to Changing Conflict Culture at Work and at Home”
Changing conflict culture is much like preparing for and navigating a hike. The terrain can be smooth at times and steep at others, and the path we choose — along with how we travel it — shapes the experience for everyone involved. In this presentation, participants will learn how to recognize the landscapes of conflict, understand why tensions escalate, and develop the awareness and skills needed to travel through difficult conversations more effectively. Drawing on practical conflict-resolution insights, psychology, and real-world experience, this presentation provides a clear map for transforming everyday conflict at work and at home.

Early relational experiences forge a neurophysiological and psychological template of self, often creating insecure attachment, distorting the development of self, and impacting relational functioning. Corresponding affect management strategies, attachment patterns, and dysregulation of the Autonomic Nervous System, impact one’s self perceptions, world, and identity. This legacy of trauma deeply impacts the integrity of the self, creating a split between psyche and body. Therapists are called to facilitate shifting of affect management strategies, attachment patterning, and support the maturation and development of complex right brain functioning to heal relational trauma, including insecure attachment, PTSD, and chronic shame, rather than merely working with symptom reduction. This SAP training responds to this call, offering an immersive educational experience for therapist education and evolution.
The 6, 4-day clinics utilize interactive lecture, discussions, demonstrations, experiential exercises, and coached practice sessions. We delve into theoretical and conceptual understandings of: attachment trauma and application to practice, interpersonal/relational psychodynamic principles and practices; emergent neuroscience research; trauma studies; embodiment studies and practices. Twelve group consultations included.
